Caravan Leaving Rhapsody from "Of Bards and Dragons"©

Pictured in this graphic is a small merchant caravan leaving the town of Rhapsody as a thunderstorm moves over the nearby forest. It gives the reader an idea of what such a merchant caravan looks like in this land. Each of the massive wagons is pulled by Dray Beasts. These strange hairy six-legged animals are the results of some ancient magical experiment. Being so docile and able to pull extra heavy loads, the weird animals found an instant home with the Merchants. The Merchants of Jarn are the mainstay of the commerce of this world. They alone provide goods to all the towns across the lands and a full caravan of 12-16 wagons is really something to see. Each driver is protected from the elements as well as a bandit's arrow under a small cabin sitting atop the front of the wagon. The entire rear of the wagon is lowered for unloading, and there is an already assembled tent shelter on each wagon's side that is lowered into position at each stop on the trail.
